Peanut Chikki

A peanut chikki is made with jaggery. It is a perfect snack in winters to keep your body warm. People generally make this dish during the festival of kites.


Peanuts - 250 gm
Jaggery - 200 gm
Pure Ghee - 25 gm

1. First of all, roast, Skin and coarsely crush the peanuts.
2. Now heat ghee in frying pan and add jiggery.
3. Cook it till jiggery melts completely. Also make sure its color will start changing.
4. Add the crushed peanuts and mix properly.
5. Grease a tray and spread the mixture.
6. Roll flat to 1 cm in thickness.
7. Cut into squares when cooled and store in an airtight container.

NOTE: you can also take whole peanuts if you like.
