  • Pinwheel Samosa

    Pinwheel Samosa is a easy version of samosa. You can make it within i5 to 20 minutes. Also you can have it as a snacks and this is the best option for guest serving.

    Plain flour - 1 cup
    Carom seeds - 1/4 tsp
    Oil - 1 tsp
    salt to taste

    For Stuffing:
    Boiled and mashed potatoes - 1.5 cups
    Boiled and mashed green peas - 1/2 cup
    Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
    Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Dried mango powder - 1/2  tsp
    Coriander (dhania) powder - 1.5 tsp
    Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
    Finely chopped coriander - 2 tbsp
    Oil for deep-frying


    1. First of all, Take all the ingredients of stuffing in one deep bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
    2. Now, take one large bowl and add 1 cup plain flour, 1/4 tsp carrom seeds, 1 tsp oil and mix well. And knead into a stiff dough using enough water.
    3. Make medium size balls from dough and Roll a portion of the dough into a 9” diameter circle using little plain flour for rolling.
    4. Spread stuffing on it. Make sure you leave ½ inch from the circumference of the circle.
    5. Roll it from one end to another end like a swis roll and seal well.
    6. Now cut the roll into 1/2 inch of equal pieces using a knife.
    7. Take each piece and press it very lightly to flatten it.
    8. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan. Deep fry, on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in color from all the sides.
    9. Serve immediately with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
