Besan ka Cheela

Besan ka Cheela is one type of pancake that is made in almost every Indian house as a breakfast. This is a very easy and quick recipe.

Besan / Gram Flour – 1 cup
Salt – as per taste
Sliced Onion – ½ cup
Chopped Green Chili – 1 tbsp.
Chopped Fenugreek Leaves – ½ cup
Carom seeds – 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 4 tbsp.
1. First of all, take one large bowl. Add Gram flour, Onion, Green Chili, Fenugreek leaves and mix well.
2. Now add salt, red chili powder, carom seeds and again mix well. Add water little by little and make thick batter from it.
3. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Heat 1 tbsp. oil on frying pan and pour gram flour mixture over it and spread it out a little.
5. Cook on medium flame till edges become brown.
6. Pour some oil around edges and flip pancake.
7. Cook from other side as well till it become golden brown.
8. Our Besan ka Cheela is ready to serve. Serve it with Green chutney or tomato ketchup.
